General information
- Registration for the SMACUMED WEFE2023 Conference is secured via payment of the appropriate registration fee.
- Registering and paying the corresponding registration fee is personal, assigned to a single user account, and not transferable.
- The registration fees are partially waived (-50%) for (a) scientists with a permanent affiliation in a low- or lower-middle-income country according to the World Bank definition, and (b) Ph.D. candidates and Master students from all middle-income countries according to the World Bank definition.
Registration fees
Early registration rates are available until 31 October 2023 and provide payment options (a) by credit card, (b) by bank transfer or (c) by PayPal.
Standard registration rates are applied from 1 November 2023 until the end of the conference. These rates can be paid by credit card online or on-site.
Registration fees for in-person participants include :
- Access to all the conference session
- Coffee breaks, lunches & Gala diner
- Notebook & the conference bag
- Certificate of Participation
- Book of abstracts (soft copy) and PDF copy (will be sent by email)
In addition to :
- Publish in the conference proceeding
- Get a total or partial waiver for publishing in partner journals

(1) Scientists having permanent affiliation to an institution located in a low- & lower-middle-income country according to the World Bank ranking.
(2) Please provide proof of status allowing us to set your user status to "student" in our user administration database. This may take up to two working days.
(3) Please note that non-participant attendees will have only access to all conference sessions.
Please be aware that the registration fee does not cover the accommodation expenses. Marrakech has a broad variety of hotel options and it is easy to find where to stay on a budget in this city. Some special hotel room rates will be arranged for SMACUMED WEFE2023.
Terms and conditions
- Early registration must be accompanied by payment. Otherwise, it will not be processed and the standard registration rates will be applied.
- Registrations are for the person acquiring the registration and paying the registration fee; registrations are non-transferable.
- Changes to registration invoices are only possible with regard to the invoice address or order references. Any such claims must be received by the organizing committee no later than six weeks after the last day of the conference. Later requests cannot be considered.
