The 6th edition of the International Climate Change Conference (CI2C-2025), held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, has established itself as a leading international scientific platform for climate action. Focused on solutions for a sustainable future, it gathered over 400 researchers, experts, and decision-makers from 15 countries, spanning disciplines from climate science to public policy. This strong mobilisation reflects the growing maturity, international influence, and structuring role of CI2C as a space for dialogue and co-construction of actionable solutions.

The 5th edition marked a strategic turning point by placing decarbonisation at the core of discussions, generating concrete commitments for carbon neutrality, fostering strategic partnerships in the Essaouira region, and leading to a Springer Nature publication.

Building on this momentum, the 7th edition adopts a fully integrated approach structured around the five pillars of climate action: mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, resilience, and climate finance—aligning with global priorities while reinforcing territorial impact.

To support the emergence of operational solutions, the Congress will feature thematic sessions covering key areas: climate science; ecosystems and natural resources; climate–society interactions (health, food security, migration, tourism); energy transition and policies; and innovation drivers, including artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.

Hosted in Essaouira, Morocco, CI2C 2026 serves as a platform for dialogue, partnerships, and innovation, fostering collaboration between Africa, the Mediterranean region, and the Middle East to develop concrete solutions for a sustainable future.
