Details of the Meeting Minutes:

The meeting commenced via Zoom video conference with the participation of all members of the AI4TB project. Professor Yahya TAYALATI, the project's principal investigator, was the first to speak. He reminded everyone about the importance of collaboration between partner teams and presented the project's objectives, emphasizing its significance in the fight against tuberculosis.

Professor TAYALATI also provided an update on the project's progress thus far. Also, he reminded the project members to provide updated photos and biographies to Professor KOULLAI to update the project's website. He proposed starting the work with the creation of four reviews on the following topics:

  1. Meta-survey on Artificial Intelligence for Tuberculosis (AI for TB).
  2. A review on Tuberculosis detection using Artificial Intelligence.
  3. A review on Tuberculosis propagation and the role of Artificial Intelligence.
  4. A note on the project and the protocole to be used for data collection to be submitted to partner countries authorities, namely Morocco, the DRC, Burkina Faso, and South Africa.

Subsequently, project members took the floor to discuss Professor TAYALATI's proposal. It was unanimously agreed to adopt this proposal, with a modification to the fourth review to align it with the first.

Additionally, Professors Loukia and MZIBRI highlighted the importance of developing a protocol to guide future project work. This protocol will be presented to the ethics committees of the respective partner countries for validation.

Finally, some members initiated the centralization and consolidation of work on the various reviews as follows:

  • Professor KOULALI Mohammed Amine for the meta-survey on Artificial Intelligence and Tuberculosis.
  • Professor Imane CHAOUI for Artificial Intelligence and Tuberculosis resistance.
  • Professor Mbulayé for Tuberculosis detection using Artificial Intelligence.

The meeting concluded on this constructive note, with the next steps for the AI4TB project defined. Bi-weekly meetings will be held to assess the project progress.
