In celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology,

The Laboratory of Physics of Matter and Radiations

Organizes :

The International Conference on Physics of Matter and Radiations and its Applications

Mohamed Premier University continues to occupy honorable positions in the field of physical sciences in world rankings published by international organizations aimed at quantifying the quality of scientific research and university education worldwide. In particular, since 2017, our university has been at the forefront in this field at the national, Arab, and African levels, in the renowned Jiao Tong University of Shanghai ranking (The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)). In a world oriented towards the knowledge economy, this ranking has become one of the most important tools globally for positioning and comparing oneself against universal standards of excellence in higher education and scientific research. It allows academic and political responses through decisions and strategies aimed at improving this position both at the university level and at the national level.

Thus, this meeting, organized by the Laboratory of Matter Physics and Radiation, is intended as an opportunity to discuss advances in the field of physical sciences and its role in societal development. It is also an occasion for all university stakeholders, relevant authorities, and socio-economic partners to take stock of achievements and discuss potential actions to strengthen and sustain this position. This meeting will also provide an opportunity to exchange and confront different experiences in this field and to establish new university collaborations in research and education.
